Yes, the thing about Communists is that they want everything to be free.
For themselves.
Not for you. You don’t get free anything.
You have to sacrifice. You have to work. You have to produce. You have to pay your share. All the while accepting poor, uninspired service and substandard and deteriorating conditions. For the greater good. Which means for them - the Communists.
There’s a reason Communism is the favored ideology of the wealthy, educated, managerial and retired elite. They are the ones who stand to benefit the most from all the free stuff, without having to contribute any meaningful effort or personal resources. They are the ruling class. Devoid of practical skill, know-how and working experience, it is their academic intellect that produces the greatest value (of course you don’t understand). They are the pigs that are “more equal” to you and the other animals on the farm.
“But we will tax the rich!”, you gullible rubes exclaim. No, you won’t. You will tax yourselves into abject poverty. It is not as though this is historically unproven.
The real rich will stay rich. If they are astute and have some moral principle they wish to maintain, they will flee to and collect in some accommodating geographical space, perhaps smaller and more defendable, where they can wall out the Communists, both rich and poor.
If they (the rich) are Communists themselves, they will simply remain in their privileged hierarchical caste, pretending to be of the people when it is politically prudent, as to avoid being subject to, and in attempt to squelch or redirect (by any means necessary) the inevitable violent uprisings of the soon-to-awaken, deceived masses they now lord over.
This is your future, comrades. Celebrate the idealism now, for you will live in the reality soon enough.
